Faerycat Eyes

Brand new eyes, the faerycat eye; with rounded slit pupils, these are designed for nekos, faeries, felines, demons or anyone else who wants something a bit different.














With both the bursts, variations on rainbow hues exploding from the center, and the solid hues in all shades of a rainbow, there is something for most anyone who wants unusual optic orbs.

Black Cat Hunt

Apologies for the long delay on information on the changes coming here at FCD. Real Life has an annoying habit of poking up its head when least wanted, and so I've been busier then usual. But those prefabs -are- coming. That, however, is not what this post is about. In our second ever hunt, I thought I'd share some images of our hunt prizes for our store.

So, what are the prizes? A black tail decorated with pumpkins, a pair of matching ears, autumn hued faery wings, golden cat eyes and a cat collar [2 actually].

A change of direction

I'm not going to stop with selling and continuing what I make already, however, in coordination with my partner, Faerycat Designs is going to start selling prefabs. Expect our first line to be available very soon, and apologies for the radio silence.

New Faery Wings

New this week - Colour Fade Faery Wings, only 10 lindens until August 1st. Lightly scripted wings that fluctuate slowly from one colour of the rainbow to the next, made of flexiprims to flutter slowly as you move.

Ears and Tails

Finally, I got around to packaging my ears and tails. I've been improving on my original design and scripting, so that these have more options than the original black and white versions, with more waiting in the wings for me to do the texture and script work.

Anyway, they've come out really well, they are now available on marketplace and in our store. So, go and check them out, and of course our other stuff.

Things are a little sparse, taken down the clothing in the shop and not doing many new products until Mesh arrives, which I'm really looking forward to.

Downtime

Update on store and such. Due to a flare up of tendinitis in both wrists, design work has been seriously slowed down. I will hopefully get the new tails and ears up shortly, but work is slowed down by this.

Coming soon!

I've been enjoying my brief respite from trying to keep up with a normal schedule. Every once in a while, you do need a vacation. Now, refreshed, and with a little more focus, I've some new ideas and will be sharing images soon, hopefully.

My tails have not undergone much of a change since their creation, just some minor tweaks, however I am going to be releasing a new line - these shall come in broad colour categories, such as monochrome, and have 4 or 5 textures on a simple menu. In addition, I shall be releasing decorated tails for those who enjoy such things.

My ears, on the other hand, have evolved a bit. I've a new fluffy design, and I'll be working on some more as well. These too will have the broad category menus.

I've more ideas, both for these and other items - and the store itself should be getting a redesign soon, though that might be waiting on more information about the upcoming mesh rollouts.

Hiatus

I think it is time for me to take a short bit of time off from actively creating/selling things to do some redesign work for the store, and evaluate my current product line.

So, the updates will be less often while I figure out what is going on with the shop. We are not going to close, we're just rearranging a bit.

Busy week

Since there is no new product this week, I figured I owed an explanation. Its been just that busy. Between classes and the SL8B that is going on this week and next, I just never got around to the marketing work for the products sitting in my inventory waiting to be put up for consumption. In addition, I'm looking into some renovations - of both the shop and the products I have, so it might be a few more weeks of very little in the way of new things - we'll see. White Series Boots + Group Gift

Yes, as promised, the other half of the new line of boots. Also, a group gift for members of the Faerycat Design group. Base is a shiny patent leather in white with colour trim, except, of course for Yer Blues, which is a three shades of blue combination. The Violet and Cobalt are shown here - come by the store to check it out.

New Boots

I have a new design of boots up in the shop this week. As a gift, I've a pair of tri-shade pink ones, and the Black Series is up for sale now. A White series will be available soon, perhaps next week.

A week off....

No, I'm working on stuff, but with the holiday yesterday [at least for me], and teaching a class this morning, I don't have anything to the packaged state for sale. New projects are being worked on this week, including a line of avatars that will be released over the next few weeks. Hopefully everyone is doing well, and until the next update, stay safe, happy and healthy.

Denim!

Jeans and jean shorts, nice and faded, and in some cases a bit worn around the edges. 5 different pairs for 10 lindens each, at least until the 31st of May, so come by the shop and stock up now. Also, going to be doing some remodeling of the shop over the next weeks - some things are going to be being phased out for new products, and I'll mark those sometime this week.

Three New Dresses

Presenting three themed fairy dresses - Blossom, Meadow and Twilight. Blossom is done in pale greens and lavenders, Meadow is in shades of darker greens, and Twilight is in dark, dusky shades of blue. All three are inspired by summertime. They come with the bodice and glitch pants, corset, chest ruffle and skirt - the ruffle and skirt are scripted to switch between the two different mesh textures for the skirt.

Each outfit is mod, and only 10 lindens until May 24th.

Yet More Bangles

Before you know it, we'll be walking like Egyptians, or something. Anyways, I went to a gem show and saw these wonderful zigzag bangles and decided to try and bring the concept into my shop, so here we go. Four more sets, on special until the 24th of May, that can be found in my shop or on my marketplace - enjoy!

Every Rose has a...

Well, in this case, there aren't any thorns, I promise. I wasn't planning on doing another outfit just yet, but somehow this one happened. It only comes in one variety, but it has a lot of options. The dress layers are on pants/shirt, because it was too long for just jacket. The skirt and arm ruffles are scripted with a texture change script [total of 3 scripts for the whole outfit] that has two variations each of the red and green. And in addition there is a necklace with two matching bracelets to complete the whole thing.

I'm pricing at 10 lindens until May 17th, then the price is going up to 200 lindens.

More Bangles

A little while ago, I shared two different bangle sets with you fine folks, and this week, I've added two more different sets and redid the images for the first two, as well. So, thought I'd share all four.

No cats, snakes, or fruit was harmed in the making of these products.

A Wish for Wings that Work

Well, if you want fluttery faery wings with no scripts at all, these work perfectly. They flutter with every move, are slightly drapy, and if you want to make some adjustments, they are moddable [and copyable too!]. Rainbow hued, with white sparkles tracing along the wings, these might just be the thing, and I bet they'd look good with rainbow eyes.

Better yet, they are on sale for 10 lindens until May Tenth. After that, the price will go up to 50 lindens.

A new way of looking at things.

Sorry for the pun, I just couldn't resist. A few friends have asked me for unusual eyes over the last few months, so after some fighting and fussing, I present a variety of eyes with rainbow and dominant tones. Each iris is a rainbow, with a dominant highlight shade that is based roughly on the bottom edge of the rainbow. I say this because the silver doesn't have that edge, and is simply highlighted with silver shades, giving it a more rainbow appearance than some of the others.





I did these in both fae and neko variations, with black 'whites' for a more dramatic appearance. They come in Blue, Gold, Green, Purple, Red and Silver, with the silver and gold being more apparently rainbow than some of the others, most notably the blue.

Here is a few preview shots of some of what I've been working on for release shortly. Here is my first set of recolourable markings/tattoos - they include face markings as well as the whole body and when I release them, I'll most likely be putting in face only and body only options.


In addition, I've been messing around with eyes again. Eyes were something that I'd originally messed with, but never got around to selling them. When I started looking at other grids, however, and my prim eyes couldn't come with me, I started messing with them again. These are going to come in both neko and 'fae' versions, and are rainbow with a predominant shade, ranging from blue, which is shown, to red, with a total of 6 different shades for each.

New Easter Product

I was messing around with easter eggs anyway, for the Builder's Brewery easter egg hunt [which starts today] and came up with this lovely decorative easter basket. Personally, I think it'd work fine as a general bit of spring for year round, but then I love baskets and ribbons and eggs [oh my!]

Anyway, also got some other goodies I'll be putting up for sale once my photographer gets done taking the official pictures, like a set of more delicately coloured bangles. The rest, well, that is going into its own post.

EverBurning Candles for Spring

Faux candles, that burn forever, or until you turn them off, what a wonderful idea. Okay, I like them, anyway, and that is why I've made them and shared them. Since the candles don't melt, the two lilies gracing the base are safe from harm, and add that spring touch along with the soft marbled pastels of the candles and their base.

As for those flames, simply touch each candle on the inner portion and they will turn on or off, just like magic.

New Bangles!

Here are my first bangle sets, and I'm rather happy with them. The one is called Wild Jungle and is done in golds and a spotted cat motif. The other is called Cool Morning and combines a snake motif with silver and blue shades. Both sets are for sale in my inworld shop for 10 lindens, currently. They might go up to 50 in May, I honestly haven't decided yet. But if you are interested, hit the shop and look on the coffee table.

Here is one of my current projects. I noticed a lot of real world bangles have an innet lining and can sometimes be a bit on the chunky side. I've also seen some oddly shaped ones that I might make sculpt maps for, but this is just working with tori.

I expect to have these up by this weekend. It should take me long to do a variety of textures and arrangements, the time consuming part is packaging.

Shop Built

*pantpantpant* The shop is built and stocked, at least for the time being. I rather like how it came out, so I'm sharing the snapshot I took of it. I'm planning on spending tomorrow designing some new jewelry and maybe designing the texture for a teleport hud and doing some work on scripting projects. I need a brain break to just work on designs for a little bit.

But the hard work is mostly done and I can get back to the things I love best about business - designing.
